Celador Quartz Stone Source

Celador Quartz

Description

Celador is a quartz based agglomerate, cast into tiles and slabs. Celador is highly durable and is suitable for many residential and commercial interior applications.

Sizes

Standard nominal tiles sizes are 12"x12", 12"x24", 16"x16" and 24"x24". Slabs are 55"x118" (3/4" or 1 1/4"). Other sizes are available, including cut-to-size. Our stock inventory includes 24"x24" tiles and 55"x118" (1-1/4") slabs.

Colors + Finishes

There are four colors in the Celador Series. All colors come standard in a polished finish.

The Celador color line includes solid colors with quartz particles. Custom Colors require a minimum of approximately 6,500 square feet of tile or 3,000 square feet of slabs. For additional information about color availability and minimum quantity requirements, please contact your local Stone Source representative.

Applications

Celador is extremely hard and dense and has practically no porosity. It will not react to acid, making Celador an excellent material for residential and commercial floors, counters, interior and exterior cladding and other uses. As a floor tile, it will withstand wear, even on heavy traffic commercial floors, resist staining and requires low maintenance. Celador is suitable for kitchen counters and other working surfaces due to its hardness, low porosity, resistance to stains and acids, lack of hairline cracks and will not support bacteria growth.

Installation

For floor tiles up to 24"x24", the substrate must be flat, stable, solid, free of cracks, smooth, dry and clean. Use Laticrete 333 Super Flexible Additive with Laticrete 317 Floor 'N Wall Thin Set Mortar, or approved equal. Apply adhesive to the full back of each tile. Tap tiles with a rubber mallet to ensure even laying. Recommended grout width, up to 16"x16" is 1/16" and 1/8" grout width for larger tiles, using Laticrete 1600 Series sanded grout. For other applications, contact your Stone Source representative or Laticrete for recommended materials and installation methods.

Maintenance

Remove dirt and liquids as soon as possible. Clean and buff regularly with a neutral detergent. For polished finish, clean and buff regularly with a neutral detergent. Honed finish Celador requires additional maintenance than the polished finish. For honed finish tiles, cleaners such as KlenzAll by Stone Tech Professional may be effective, depending on the application. Using a floor machine, scrub with a 3M No. 3500 natural tan pad. Remove substance with a wet vac to eliminate dirt effectively.
